At about 1:30 pm yesterday (Friday), an alert was sent to the Navy and neighboring boats: a sportsfishing boat was on fire in front of Cabo del Sol and the former Sheraton Hacienda del Mar. The Blue Moon tour boat was nearby and came to the rescue of 9 tourists, the boat captain and his mate. All safe and uninjured. The name of the burning boat seemed to be Ocean Cabo Sail, but by the time we got there it was pretty charred.
