Mexico Increases Minimum Wage

The new minimum wage for 2022 has increased 22 percent through a joint agreement between the federal government, workers’ unions and business organizations. The new daily, 8-hour shift salary will be 172.87 pesos, or about $8.65 USD. That’s some $260 USD a month. The minimum wage in northern border states will be 260. 34 pesos (about $13 USD) per shift.
