The Baja 1000 participants – 271 teams on motorcycles and off-road vehicles will leave Ensenada, in Northern Baja, this Thursday. They will drive 1,226.34 miles down to La Paz with the first arrivals expected on the morning of Friday the 19. This is one of the toughest off road races in the world, comparable only to the Dakar rally that currently takes place in Saudi Arabia due to security concerns. The final celebration will take place Saturday the 20 at the Fidepaz Marina, East of the Grand Plaza Hotel. During the day, there will be a photo exhibit of the 24 years of the Baja 1000. Enjoy!
