Coming June 6, residents of Baja California Sur will go to the polls to vote for a new government. That includes the seats of the Governor, five city mayors, and members of the state Congress. The campaign begins this Sunday and you will probably see very large groups of people going on a car parade in certain areas of La Paz, Cabo San Lucas, San Jose del Cabo, Loreto, Mulege and Guerrero Negro. Those are the candidates and their followers, showing political muscle, signs, banners and flags. You will also begin seeing posters hanging from electric and telephone poles, paintings on walls and even billboards.
