A total of 65 baby Leatherback (Dermochelys coriacea) turtles were released in Cabo San Lucas last night, on the beach of the Diamante Golf Club, where their mama hatched them during the winter. More are expected to be born soon, as their mama deposited a total of 100 eggs in different beaches of Los Cabos. Leatherbacks are an endangered species, the largest of all living turtles and are the fourth heaviest modern reptiles behind three crocodilians.
