Following a decrease in the number of infections and deaths – which went down 45 percent – the state health department approved to go down from Very High to Medium risk rules, allowing all non-essential activities to re-open as of Monday, October 5. Active cases have gone down from 350 per 1,000 to 95. The maximum capacity allowed in beaches, hotels, restaurants, gyms and stores will go up from 40 to 50 percent. The only currently closed activities are bars and strip joints.
