It will be this Monday May 11 when Mexico’s president Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO) will define what regions of Mexico and what areas of the economy will resume activities. New sanitary measures will be announced as well to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Those regions that will partially return to quasi normal operations will be defined by the number of positive cases and those of their neighbors, and how much the restrictions to mobility has been respected. In the graphic below, created by the University of Miami, its College of arts and sciences and its department of public health sciences, the left one indicates with a yellow line how much restriction our state government imposed, while the yellow line on the right one reflects how much the mobility decreased during the first 60 days of the lockdown. We just hope production and distribution of beer resumes quickly.
