The PET (early Sterilization Program) humane association, chaired by Aida Trujillo and her hubby Evaristo Castro, cut the ribbon on their new dog shelter facility at Migriño, just 15 minutes north of Cabo on the road to Todos Santos. The shelter was aptly named Second Chance Ranch and is able to host up to 25 doggies until a new home is found for them. A future project includes a kitty shelter, also. Stray animals are a huge problem in Los Cabos but people like Aida and Evaristo, who have been working on animal rescue and spay and neuter programs have been successful for some 20 years.
