Reflections on the South Baja California Carnival – History Talk

The Government of Baja California Sur, through the Instituto Sudcaliforniano de Cultura and the Archivo Histórico del Estado Pablo L. Martínez, in coordination with the La Paz City Council and the Teatro Juárez, invites the public to a special discussion titled “Reflections on the Carnival of Baja California Sur.”

This cultural talk will explore the history, traditions, and social significance of the Sudcalifornian Carnival, offering historical perspectives and community insights. The panel will feature Guadalupe Cosío, Amado Heredia Lerma, and Professor Marco Antonio Ojeda García, and will be moderated by Cinthya Castro Iglesias.

The event will take place on March 4, 2026, at 6:00 PM in the main hall of Teatro Juárez in La Paz. Admission is free.

This gathering provides a meaningful opportunity to reflect on one of the region’s most emblematic celebrations and its enduring cultural legacy.
