Vanessa Cristina Domínguez Concho, better known in the art world as “Concho,” was born in Sinaloa in 1993. She holds a degree in visual arts for plastic expression from the University of Guadalajara, where she also earned a master’s degree in artistic expression. Her work is based on color experimentation, using a palette of vibrant tones and diverse materials. She addresses themes such as esotericism and human emotion, evoking mythological beings. In 2016, together with artist Fernanda Kovacs, she founded the Conchokovacs collective, with which she has created various murals, exhibitions, and performances, including: Santos Místicos at the Army Museum, the murals of the Ocean Desert project in La Paz, and the performance of Elina Chauvet’s Zapatos Rojos on the esplanade of the MUSA (Museum of the Arts of the University of Sinaloa).
