Discover the rhythm, elegance, and cultural richness of traditional dance at “Danzoneando en el Corazón de Airapí,” a special dance workshop and cultural gathering hosted by Centro Cultural La Paz in Baja California Sur. This free community event is dedicated to teaching and celebrating danzón and Caribbean dance styles, offering participants the opportunity to learn classic dance techniques while enjoying a fun, welcoming, and social atmosphere.

Held every Monday during the month of May from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM, the program is open to the general public and welcomes people of all ages and experience levels. Whether you are a beginner curious about Latin dance traditions or someone with previous dance experience, the workshop provides an enjoyable space to move, connect, and immerse yourself in the music and culture of the Caribbean and Mexico.

The classes will be led by instructor Luis Fernando Rodríguez, who will guide participants through the fundamentals of danzón, one of the most elegant and historically significant dance styles in Latin America. Attendees will also have the opportunity to explore additional Caribbean rhythms and partner dances in a relaxed and inclusive environment that encourages creativity, confidence, and community participation.
