Five children sit on a bed in a worn blue room with peeling paint and a religious picture on the wall

“El México de los Mexicanos III” (The Mexico of the Mexicans III) is a captivating photographic exhibition that explores the rich cultural tapestry, daily life, and diverse identity of Mexico through the lenses of its people. Sponsored by Banamex through its cultural heritage branch (Patrimonio y Fomento Cultural), this cultural initiative aims to document and celebrate the authentic, lived experiences of Mexican society.

The promotional imagery features a profoundly intimate and evocative photograph titled “El cuarto de mi nana” (My Nana’s Room) by photographer Miguel Ángel de la Cueva. Captured at Rancho El Ciruelito within the Sierra El Novillo region of Baja California Sur, the image beautifully depicts three young children sitting together on a bed inside a rustic room with textured, vibrant blue walls, perfectly capturing a raw, tender moment of local heritage and familial warmth.
