Their yacht lost propulsion
The Secretary of the Navy reported the rescue of 4 foreign nationalists who were aboard a yacht 96 nautical miles (178 kilometers) southeast of Cabo San Lucas. The incident occurred after the boat lost propulsion.
The rescue operation was carried out by personnel from the Naval Search, Rescue and Maritime Surveillance Station (ENSAR) Los Cabos, after receiving a request for support from the Cabo San Lucas Harbor Master's Office. The yacht, identified as “Tits Pierre”, required urgent assistance due to its situation.
A smaller Defender-type vessel set sail immediately with the aim of safeguarding the lives of the crew. Upon arriving at the scene, naval personnel rescued the affected people and transferred them to the Cabo San Lucas Naval Sector dock.
The Naval Sector medical team confirmed that they were in good health and without injuries. Subsequently, those affected continued on their way.
