CPS Media La Paz invites the community to lace up their running shoes for a charitable cause on January 12, 2025. The event aims to gather essential hygiene and personal use products for the San Vicente de Paúl Nursing Home. Rodrigo Flores Álvarez, CPS Media’s commercial manager in Baja California Sur, emphasized that the race’s goal is to support the elderly residents of the nursing home.
Founded in 1944, the San Vicente de Paul Nursing Home is a non-profit institution dedicated to aiding the elderly in vulnerable situations.

“With around 50 spots still available, we are close to our participant cap. We had to reschedule the race to allow more time for registrations, ensuring we meet our donation targets for the Casa San Vicente de Paul,” Flores explained.
Participants can register at the CPS Media La Paz offices, located on Padre Eusebio Kino Boulevard between Independencia and Reforma streets. For directions, please call 1+52+6121224095. When registering, participants are required to bring their donations to receive a race t-shirt and participant number. The office is open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The race features two distances: 2.5 km (approximately 1.5 miles) and 5 km (about 3.11 miles), starting from Cuauhtémoc park, two blocks from the Seven Crown Hotel, at 7 a.m.
“Arrive early to join the pre-race warm-up with fellow runners, ensuring a safe start. We’ve coordinated all necessary security measures with the La Paz municipality to ensure a smooth event,” added Flores.
Donations needed include adult diapers, cleaning products, shampoo, soap, wet wipes, and medical supplies like gauze and alcohol. Last year, the event collected enough donations to fill five vehicles, including two pickups.
