The Private Industry wants the Municipal Authority to supervise the works
There was a big controversy about this, Soriana at El Tezal next to Costco was not supposed to have the authorization to operate until they build a pedestrian bridge, but the store managers said that the permits where not ready.
So, now they are. After five months the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) acronym in Spanish informed that the permits for its construction are ready.
This pedestrian bridge will be located in front of the El Tezal neighborhood and will allow citizens, specially the workers of this stores to cross the Four lane safely. This area was known as very dangerous for those who walk across because there was no other option.
The president of the Coordinating Council of Los Cabos, (CCC) Julio Castillo, also requested that the municipal authority supervises the works.
It was highlighted that the construction company who will carry out the pedestrian bridge will not be allowed to fail to comply with the characteristics that were proposed in the project, since they consider that it would be dangerous if, by making the work cheaper, the pertinent safety measures are not complied with.
