It can be more budget-friendly than summer.
So far in December, the port of Cabo San Lucas has seen a significant increase in cruise ship arrivals, with double and even triple the number of ships docking, raising expectations for the end of the year and the beginning of 2025. The cruise ship schedule estimates that between December 2024 and January 2025, 64 cruise ships will arrive.
Arturo Musi, the president of the Mexican Cruise Association, noted that the holiday season is particularly appealing for travelers looking to experience the festivities in a unique way, which is reflected in the heightened cruise activity in Los Cabos.
On December 24, the port awaited the arrival of the Norwegian Joy, while a double arrival featuring the Shadow and the Norwegian Joy is scheduled for December 31. The new year will kick off with a notable event on January 2, 2025, when four cruise ships are expected to arrive simultaneously. The year 2024 is projected to close with approximately 225 arrivals, which is 11 fewer than in 2023. However, in 2025, the numbers are expected to rise by 15 percent.
