Karla González, 32, Architect. If I could choose any superpower, I think I would like to control time. I’m constantly battling deadlines, and there’s always this pressure to deliver everything perfectly. It would be great to slow down time when I need to focus and get more done. Sometimes, I feel like there’s never enough time in the day. But it wouldn’t just be for work. I’d love to be able to revisit moments from the past, like seeing my grandparents when they were still around or reliving happy memories. I think we take a lot for granted and being able to go back would remind me of how lucky I’ve been. I could skip through difficult or boring moments too. In the end, I feel like time is something we never have enough of, so being able to control it would help me balance work, family, and personal life better.
Eduardo Sánchez, 26, Engineer. I would want the ability to teleport. I travel a lot for work, and honestly it can be exhausting. Being able to instantly transport myself to a meeting in another city or even another country would save me so much time and energy. Plus, I love exploring new places, so imagine being able to have breakfast in Tokyo, lunch in Paris, and dinner in Mexico City, all in the same day! I also think it would make staying connected with family and friends easier. My family lives in Monterrey, and I only get to see them a few times a year. If I could teleport, I could visit them whenever I wanted without worrying about flights, traffic, or long trips. Being able to go anywhere in the world instantly would be a dream.
Lucía Fernández, 40, Teacher. I would love to have the power to heal others. I see kids who struggle with various physical and emotional challenges, and it’s heartbreaking. Being able to heal illnesses, injuries, or even mental health issues would make a huge difference in the lives of so many people. I think this world could use more compassion and kindness, and if I could alleviate someone’s pain or suffering, I’d do it in a heartbeat. I’ve seen my own family go through health problems, and it’s incredibly difficult to watch your loved ones suffer and not be able to do anything. I could give people more time with their families, improve their quality of life, and make the world a little less stressful. I believe that everyone deserves to live without pain.
José Luis Ramírez, 50, Small Business Owner. I’d like to have the power of superhuman strength. I run a small construction business, and there are days when I wish I could do everything myself. Sometimes you just need that extra push when you’re working with heavy materials or equipment. Having super strength would be great for helping in the community. I could build things faster, help with repairs after a storm, or just lend a hand wherever it’s needed. I also think there’s a symbolic element to it — the strength to keep going when things get tough, whether in business or life in general. It’s about resilience and perseverance. Superhuman strength would be an amazing tool to help me, my family, and my community thrive.
María Castillo, 21, University Student. I would love to have the ability to read minds. I am in school for psychology, and I’m really interested in understanding what people are thinking and why they behave the way they do. Being able to read minds would give me an incredible advantage in helping others. It could be especially useful in therapy, where sometimes people aren’t ready to open up or don’t know how to express what they’re feeling. If I could understand their thoughts directly, I might be able to guide them toward healing much faster. Of course, I think this power would need to come with some rules: I wouldn’t want to invade anyone’s privacy, and I’d only use it when it’s helpful. But overall, being able to connect with people on such a deep level would help me make a difference in their lives.
Miguel Hernández, 35, Chef. I think my superpower would be the ability to control fire. Fire is already such an important part of my daily life in the kitchen. Being able to control it perfectly would make cooking even more fun and precise. I could create amazing dishes with exact temperatures and even do things that aren’t possible now, like cooking something instantly. In a disaster, like wildfire or something, I could stop the flames from spreading or even save people by controlling it.
