Soon, the thermoelectric plant located at Pichilingue in La Paz, which generates power using fuel, will be converted into a natural gas fed plant. The gas will be provided by New York based New Fortress Energy (NFE) which will also feed a second plant that should be finished in the summer of 2022. NFE will sell the government-run CFE, Mexico’s electricity monopoly, a total of 500,000 gallons per day for both plants.
