DESCRIPTION:Festival Fantástico BCS 2026 is a dynamic community arts event celebrating creativity\, environmental awareness\, and cultural heritage in Baja California Sur. Now in its third edition\, the festival invites artists\, community groups\, schools and creative teams to design and build monumental sculptures called “Tewales”—large public art pieces made with at least 80% recycled or reused materials. \nThe 2026 theme focuses on air as a vital environmental element\, encouraging participants to explore sustainability\, collective responsibility\, and respect for nature through art. Selected teams collaborate in workshops\, design and build phases from March through May\, culminating in a public parade and exhibition of sculptures on June 12\, 2026\, with a free concert as part of the cultural program. \nOrganized by Alumbra Innovations Foundation in partnership with Ándale La Paz\, A.C.\, the festival promotes ecological thought\, artistic innovation\, and community participation in Baja California Sur’s rich biocultural landscape.
