DESCRIPTION:The Instituto Nacional de Antropología e Historia (INAH) Center in Baja California Sur and the Centro Interdisciplinario de Ciencias Marinas (CICIMAR) of the Instituto Politécnico Nacional invite the public to attend a special lecture titled “The Choyero Sea Lion of Los Islotes: The Best Hidden Treasure of Baja California Sur.” \nThe conference will be presented by Dr. Claudia J. Hernández Camacho and will explore the ecological importance and unique characteristics of the sea lions that inhabit the famous colony of Los Islotes\, located near La Paz. \nThe event will take place on March 11\, 2026\, at 5:00 PM in the Temporary Exhibitions Hall of the Museo Regional de Antropología e Historia de Baja California Sur. Admission is free\, and the lecture will also be broadcast live through the museum’s official channels. \nThis talk offers a valuable opportunity for the community to learn more about the marine wildlife of Baja California Sur and the scientific research dedicated to protecting it.
