SUMMARY:An Urban History of Santa Rosalía 2026
DESCRIPTION:“Una historia urbana de Santa Rosalía”\, a cultural and historical event dedicated to exploring the rich heritage and urban development of one of Baja California Sur’s most iconic towns. Coordinated by architect Gilberto Piñeda Bañuelos\, this publication offers an in-depth look into the history\, architecture\, identity\, and social evolution of Santa Rosalía\, a community deeply connected to the region’s mining legacy. \nThe event will take place on Thursday\, May 21\, 2026\, at 6:00 PM at the Museo de Historia de la Minería\, located in the historic Pueblo Mágico of Santa Rosalía. During the presentation\, attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the research and stories behind the book through commentary and discussion led by distinguished guests\, including Professor Antonio César Beltrán Aguilar and Professor Alejandro Telechea Cienfuegos. \nOrganized through a collaborative effort between cultural institutions\, local authorities\, and historical organizations\, the event seeks to preserve and promote the historical memory of Santa Rosalía and its importance within the cultural landscape of Baja California Sur. The book highlights the town’s unique urban character\, influenced by its industrial origins and multicultural history\, making it a valuable contribution for historians\, students\, researchers\, and anyone interested in regional heritage.
