DESCRIPTION:As part of the celebrations for the 34th Miraflores Pitaya Festival 2026\, the Institute of Culture and Arts of Los Cabos invites amateur and semi-professional artists to participate in a special Painting Competition that celebrates the beauty\, traditions\, and cultural identity of the region. \nThis artistic event provides a unique opportunity for local talent to showcase their creativity and interpretation of themes inspired by the natural and cultural heritage of Miraflores. Participants are encouraged to create original works reflecting subjects such as the pitaya fruit and its surroundings\, local traditions and customs\, the landscapes and rural life of Miraflores\, regional flora and fauna\, and the unique spirit of Baja California Sur. \nThe competition will take place on Saturday\, July 18\, 2026\, in front of the Casa de la Cultura “Profra. Francisca Monroy Vda. de Collins” in Miraflores. Artists will have several hours to complete their works on-site\, allowing visitors to witness the creative process and engage with the local artistic community. The event aims to promote cultural expression\, encourage artistic development\, and strengthen community pride through the visual arts.
