DESCRIPTION:Show your talent and celebrate one of Mexico’s most beloved musical traditions! The H. XV Ayuntamiento de Los Cabos\, through the Instituto de la Cultura y las Artes de Los Cabos\, in coordination with the Delegación Municipal de Miraflores and the Casa de la Cultura “Profra. Francisca Monroy Vda. de Collins”\, invites local residents to participate in the Concurso de Talentos Locales  Interpretación de Canción Ranchera. \nThe contest will take place on Friday\, September 11\, 2026\, at 7:00 PM\, as part of the Noche Mexicana festivities\, right in front of the Edificio Delegacional de Miraflores. \nThis competition is open to all residents of Miraflores and nearby communities who are 14 years of age or older and wish to interpret a traditional ranchera song. Participants may perform with a musical track\, mariachi\, musical group\, or acoustic accompaniment\, following the technical guidelines established by the organizing committee. \nRegistration is open at the Casa de la Cultura from Monday to Friday\, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.\, or by phone at (624) 247-5313. A maximum of 10 participants will be accepted\, and registration closes on Thursday\, September 10.

XV Ayuntamiento de Los Cabos\, through the Dirección General de Desarrollo Social and the Dirección Municipal de Educación\, invites students from public and private schools across the municipality to participate in the creative contest México en 15 Segundos: “Vive la Independencia”. \nThis initiative aims to foster knowledge of Mexican history\, strengthen national identity\, and stimulate the creativity of young students by challenging them to tell a story about the Independence of Mexico in just 15 seconds. \nParticipants must create an original Reel of maximum 15 seconds that creatively depicts a historical moment\, character\, event\, or landscape related to the Independence of Mexico.
