The Coco Bongo nightclub franchise, with locations in Cancun, Playa del Carmen, and Punta Cana of the Dominican Republic, opened its newest Cabo San Lucas venture on Thursday, July 4. The announcement of their Cabo San Lucas plans was first made at the start of this year on Tuesday, January 29. Tickets for the extravagant disco DJ party show at the Plaza Bonita Mall Coco Bongo location, directly across the street from El Squid Roe, cost $90 USD per person. And that's just the regular admission price. The Gold Members entry fee is $140 USD.

Purchasing tickets via the Coco Bongo website reduces the costs from $90 to $75 USD and from $140 to $125 USD for Gold Members. The cost of entry entitles all guests to unlimited domestic Mexican national beers and cocktail drinks from 10:30 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. Gold Member access patrons are afforded free unlimited Premium drinks during the same hours of 10:30 p.m. to 3:30 a.m., as well as any and all domestic beers. Front row Gold Members also receive unlimited Premium drinks at Coco Bongo's Bar & Boutique from 9 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., as well as personalized service.

The entry is an upstairs short walk along a dark painted black wall which curves right and then descends down into an oval-shaped party central area. The acrobatic young ladies perform a fascinating show swinging around and above the crowd, but it doesn't end there. At various times during the festive jam-packed evening, confetti drops from the ceiling and Las Vegas-style showgirls take center stage dancing on the metal platform above the bar area.

At the Friday, June 28, Coco Bongo press conference announcing the grand opening 4th of July date, Coco Bongo Public Relations Director, Sebastian Robles, stated, "It's a very complete show, the reality is that you're going to see acrobatics shows that happen above you, next to you. There are tributes to great artists. It is a very strong and positive energy that we manage, from the moment we open until the last client leaves. It is an experience that many people look for, and it's that same reason why so many of them return."

The Coco Bongo experience's Sebastian Robles speaks of how the live show includes a circus-like acrobatic show, dancers and singers dressed as worldwide recognizable characters such as; The Mask, Batman, Catwoman, Freddie Mercury, Wonder Woman, Spider-Man, The Green Goblin, Beetlejuice, the rock band KISS, DC Comics villain Bane, and Roman soldiers from the Dark Horse comic books film adaptation, "300."

Coco Bongo's extravagant party reputation also features a state of the art light show and DJ dance music. The boisterous crowd of waitresses parading around the dance floor and upper-level perimeter grooving and gyrating the night away to popular DJ music, definitely create an interesting, fun, happy, vibe.

"I have been to the Coco Bongo in Cancun and Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic and it was an amazing crazy fun time," said Mariana Estrada-Tallman. "They really know how to put on a show and make the night memorable."

The Cabo San Lucas location is the end result of an entire 2018 year in which the nightclub entity owners were in talks with local Los Cabos business leaders and government tourism officials, about opening their disco and show franchise in Cabo San Lucas.

"About a year ago, we began talks with them and they were open to coming here. We gave them statistics, the origin and history of this market, the profile of the travelers that visit Cabo and they were happy with what they could offer the Los Cabos tourists," noted Director of FITURCA, Rodrigo Esponda Cascajares. FITURCA is an agency designed to promote, plan, and develop tourism via publicity campaigns, on a national and international level; while also encouraging the investment of national and foreign capital for the tourist development of the Municipality of Los Cabos, Baja California Sur.

On May 23, Bocca Morada, which means purple mouth in English, celebrated their very own grand opening at the same Plaza Bonita area of the Paseo de Marina Cabo San Lucas nightclub strip, that features El Squid Roe, Mandala, Pink Kitty, Cabo Blue, Jungle Bar, Rockstone, Senor Frog's and many others.

Situated within the interior section of Plaza Bonita, behind Starbucks and Caboland, Bocca Morada, is an upscale live music nightclub bar with its very own house band, rocking grooving to cover songs from the 70s, 80s and the 90s music scene. Like every other nightclub bar in the downtown Cabo San Lucas area, there is no cover charge at Bocca Morada.

As Los Cabos continues to expand and grow with new resorts and hotels rising up along the four-lane highway Corridor, the Cabo San Lucas nightlife continues to grow and expand as well, offering more diversity along the way.
