Fat Tuna Brew Co. Partners with Bisbee’s Tournament to Launch Official Beer

Fat Tuna Brew Company and the world-renowned Bisbee’s Fishing Tournament announced a multi-year partnership Wednesday, July 23, at a press conference held at Baja Cantina along the Marina. Under the agreement, Cerveza Fat Tuna becomes the official beer of all Bisbee’s tournament events in Mexico.

The partnership kicks off with the 45th edition of the Bisbee’s Black & Blue Tournament this fall and will run through 2030, culminating in the event’s 50th anniversary, marking five decades of sportfishing, camaraderie, and conservation.

“We are honored to partner with an event that has defined the spirit of adventure and sport in Baja for generations,” said Craig Douglas, founder of Fat Tuna Brew Co. “Cerveza Fat Tuna exists to celebrate life, and there’s no better place to do that than with the Bisbee’s family and the global sportfishing community.”

Founded in 2021 in San José del Cabo, Fat Tuna Brew Co. was born from a post-pandemic desire for renewal and celebration. Created by a team from Mexico and the U.S., the company set out to craft ultra-premium beers inspired by the vibrant Los Cabos lifestyle.

With an investment of more than $3 million USD, the company built a cutting-edge brewery and brought on a nationally acclaimed brewmaster from Querétaro. After its official launch in May 2024, Cerveza Fat Tuna quickly gained traction across Baja California Sur.

Now with a growing portfolio of high-profile clients, the company’s mission remains clear. Celebrate life, craft excellence, and share the flavor and spirit of Los Cabos, one cerveza at a time.
