December 2nd. and 3rd. the Los Cabos Whale Festival 2024 will take place, seeking to promote the great variety of natural beauties that the region has, especially to raise awareness about the care and conservation of whales.
So, there are several fun activities this coming week. Don’t miss them!
On December 2 at 7:00 in the morning, we will be welcoming the whales on paddle boards, on Medano Beach. From there, around 9:00 we will be moving to the Emapcadora beach for the opening of the festival said Belem Valencia avolunteer from the organizing committee of the Los Cabos Whale Festival.
Right after that, there will be held a conference “Whales and dolphins, source of biological, tourist and social wealth”, this one is focused on the general public and the authorities, and later another conference “Science, awareness and good practices, why and for what” will be held for the public and concierges, with limited capacity for a maximum of 30 people. Guest speakers in these events are Dr. Hiram Rosales coordinator of the research program in Marine Megafauna and Fisheries (MMAPE), of the UABCS (Baja California Sur Autonomous University) who belongs to a successful group, dedicated to the whale thinning operation.
Then at the Puerto Paraíso Mall, starting at 3:00 in the afternoon you can enjoy the Yubarta Market, with the sale of local products and environmental education, right there at 5:00 p.m. there will be another conference by biologist Abraham Valdés.“Noisy neighbors. How does noise pollution affect the oceans?”, dedicated to the public who wishes to attend.

Dec 3rd. starting at 7:00 in the morning there will be a yoga session, named “Flow with the songs of the whales” on the Empacadora beach, with Javier Mondragón, mandala vinyasa instructor, as a guest.
Later on, at 10:00 in the morning, captains of marine vessels and tourist guides are invited to attend to the conference “Science, Consciousness and Good Practices, why and for what” to be held in the cultural center on the Marina. And for the closure; cinema on the beach open to the general public on the Emapcadora beach.
