On her first official visit to Baja California Sur as Mexico’s new President, Claudia Sheinbaum is set to arrive on Friday, October 25. Her visit is highly anticipated, as she will be discussing some critical issues with both City and State governments.
One of the main topics on the agenda is the upcoming construction of 7,000 affordable new homes. These homes will be aimed at helping people who live in risk areas near arroyos, as well as providing housing for the elderly, single mothers, and young couples who simply can’t afford to buy a home in the current market. It’s a step toward addressing the housing challenges in the region, which have become a growing concern.
Another key issue President Sheinbaum will focus on is the water scarcity problem. She plans to explore solutions like building more dams and desalination plants to ensure a steady water supply for the state, which has long struggled with water shortages.
We’re excited to welcome Claudia Sheinbaum to our beautiful state, and we look forward to seeing what progress can be made on these crucial issues. Welcome, Claudia!
