If you know anyone who’s been robbed lately by the thieves who are robbing Home Depot, Fresko, Santa Carmela Market, Walmart, La Comer, please contact Cyndi Williams. Here is what happened to her. Good morning amigas. Well, ok, I am the latest victim to fall to the Home Depot thieves. Yesterday my wallet was stolen from my purse in less than 2 minutes in the store and 10 seconds of turning to measure a refrigerator. I spent 4 hours with the police filing a report at ministerio publico. If you ladies know of anyone who has personally been violated at Home Depot, I would appreciate it if you ask them to contact me. I am now on a mission starting with PROFECO. This is almost an everyday occurrence in the store. They have videos at corporate, including mine, and take no actions to stop or deter this, nor do they warn their customers that thieves roam their store daily. In my video, you can see 5 employees in a huddle 10 feet from me. I have spoken with my attorney and am going after Home Depot.
The police confirmed this was an almost everyday occurrence and encouraged me to pursue this new adventure. Besides my money, cards, licenses, and a wad of cash for shopping, my husband’s cross necklace was in my wallet. It literally took them 10 seconds, and I never even saw anyone near me. I just turned to measure the width of a fridge.

I have heard Fresko and was told yesterday that City Club, too. This is horrible. They are slick. I never saw them. Didn’t realize a thing until I went to the checkout 20 minutes later. Went to double-check my car before throwing a fit, and by the time I returned inside, they had the video and told me where I was robbed. It was honestly 10 seconds. Every one of the 4-security people admitted this happens daily, but they don’t do anything. I was encouraged by the authorities to pursue this. Get video posts everywhere. I can pay for an ad in the Gringo Gazette. My loss is only about 50,000 pesos, but it will be much more by the time I replace everything.
My permanent residence card was in there. That’s a nightmare situation. Unfortunately, in business, I always need it on me. They have my video at ministerio publico. I am petitioning for it tomorrow. No one pursues their cases with the investigation department, so nothing can be done. I go to see the investigation department at 9 a.m. tomorrow. My wallet was stolen last week in Costco, I realized it was a group of 3, 2 women and a man, using their shopping carts to annoy me and surround me. My purse was around my neck and they somehow got to my wallet. I didn’t have a lot of cash, but they were quick to get to Walmart and tried to purchase almost USD 3,000 worth of stuff with my debit and credit cards, all of which were declined. Still a hassle to cancel and get replacements for both cards and IDs. I did speak to the management at Costco and they wouldn’t allow me to review their cameras without a demanda. I’ve been down that road before and gotten nowhere. Another neighbor was in Walmart last week and had $10,000 pesos stolen. Happy to get on board, maybe there will be more strength with more people.
