A report released by the Mexican Institute for Competitivity (IMCO) has some great news for Baja California Sur! Our state boasts the highest salaries and is the most competitive when it comes to talent and investment. The average monthly salary here is 14,718 pesos, which translates to about $883 USD at the current exchange rate.
This puts us ahead of Nuevo Leon, where the average salary is $752 USD, and Mexico City at $751 USD. Quite a significant difference! Meanwhile, states in southern Mexico, like Chiapas, have the lowest salaries, averaging only $370 USD per month. Ouch!
