How did the name “ModuVated” come to be?

Prior to Modu getting into fitness back in 2009 he was working as a model as well as other projects. One day, one of the stylists asked Modu to be part of a documentary so he asked him to go to downtown LA. He was not able to, but they ended up meeting Modu in Sherman Oaks with a camera crew. While sitting outside the plaza, everyone passing by was yelling “MODU, MODU”. One of the camera crew says “Everyone in this town knows you. This is Modus town.” They started playing around with his name, throwing out different names like “Modustown” “Modusnest” “Moducity” and then one of the guys said “Moduvated”. That was how the name came to be.
Who is Modu?
Modu is a master trainer, entrepreneur, and motivational speaker. From his humble beginnings on the streets of Dakar, Senegal as one of 7 siblings being raised by a widowed mother, Modu has built the most recognizable fitness brand in Baja California Sur.
Modu had an offer to come to Cabo for 6 months back in 2009 and quickly fell in love with the community and country. He knew there was so much opportunity to provide wellness services, and today Modu is the wellness ambassador of the Los Cabos tourism board.
Modu always says that although he might be the face of the brand, Moduvated would not be where it is without the amazing team and the community and support through the last 13 years.
Today ModuVated is one of the few agencies in the world to have a one stop shop for all around fitness and wellness. From gym design, to providing equipment to resorts and members, to gym maintenance, online programs, clothing line, and a supplement line — you name it, Moduvated does it.
