Let me fill you in on the wild tale of Michael Wolf, the guy who owned the “Disperser” sailboat anchored in the beautiful La Paz. It’s like a scene out of an action movie, but this one’s real.
So, here’s the deal. Michael Wolf wasn’t exactly the friendliest sailor in the bay. He had quite the reputation. The Navy had their hands full dealing with not one, not two, but three separate reports of him getting aggressive with fishermen and tourists.
Now, how did he deal with these folks? Well, he wasn’t inviting them over for a friendly chat, that’s for sure. Nope, he decided to take matters into his own hands by shooting at these other vessels with a pellet rifle. Talk about a way to make friends, right?
But wait, it gets even crazier. When the local city cops tried to intervene and bring him to court, Wolf didn’t back down. Nope, he actually took shots at the cops, too! That’s some serious cowboy stuff right there.
Since the bay is federal territory, the Navy had to step in and take charge of the situation. They searched his boat and what did they find? Another guy on board, not to mention three guns, ammo and marijuana. Yikes.
Fast forward about a week, and Mother Nature threw in her two cents. Hurricane Norma, with her swirling winds and furious might, decided to pay a visit to La Paz. And guess whose boat ended up flipped over, belly-up, at the mercy of the storm? Yup, that would be Michael’s “Disperser.” It seems the forces of nature had a bone to pick.
Now, it looks like Wolf might be saying goodbye to La Paz, and maybe even the whole country if he gets deported, as the head of immigration already has three major police reports on him for firing at several people and the cops. Plus his arrest. Stick a fork in him.
