According to the latest scoop from Mexico's INEGI, our very own Southern Baja State is making some impressive strides in the right direction. Guess what? It's now among the regions with the lowest poverty levels. That's right! The state's poverty rate took a dive from 18% to a much cooler 13% just last year.
To put things into perspective, those considered to be in poverty are making less than 4,280 pesos (which is roughly $250 USD) a month. Kinda makes you think, huh? So, next time you're out and about, maybe leave a slightly heftier tip or consider paying a bit more if you're in a position to do so. Every little bit helps, and it's a great way to spread the love and prosperity! Cheers to progress!
