The GAP Group, which operates the San Jose del Cabo International airport, announced preliminary terminal passenger traffic figures for the month of July 2023, compared with the same period of 2022. For July 2023, the total number of terminal passengers at GAP’s 12 Mexican airports increased by 11.1%, compared to the same period in 2022. Guadalajara, Los Cabos, Tijuana, and Puerto Vallarta presented an increase in passenger traffic of 13.2%, 9.3%, 7.9%, and 1.5% respectively, compared to June 2022. In Los Cabos, the number of international passengers in July increased 4.1 percent and 11.4 percent from January to July. The number of national passengers showed a 17.5 percent increase in July and 22.3 percent from January to July. The number of international passengers didn’t increase that much as summertime is considered “low season,” mostly due to the upper 99’s temperatures and humidity.
