In an unnamed location along the Sea of Cortez in the East Cape, Iberostar Beachfront Resorts is developing what could be a 1,000 keys resort and villas. An environmental permit to build the villas has been approved by Mexican authorities and if all goes well, the resort will be opening late in 2024. The company has 11 hotels in Mexico, one in Nayarit (north of Puerto Vallarta) and the rest in the Mexican Caribbean.
