Some people are doing that right now. Vancouver resident David Walker and five other Mexican friends are celebrating his 72nd birthday by cycling 500 kms (about 311 miles) from Loreto to San Jose del Cabo. Walker (biker?) celebrates each birthday with a challenge in our beautiful outdoors – the Ironman for his70th, a 50 Km Ultra Marathon for his71st. Billing this year’s celebration Baja Sur Cycling 500 the group left Loreto on January 31st and will be arriving to San Jose tomorrow, February 5, at 1:00 pm. The group will be greeted in San Jose’s main square by city government officials and whoever wants to attend is welcome. Walker and his friends believe that going forward this would be a destination attraction for North American riders. Be there to welcome them, we will!
