Mexico is Among the Top Ten Again

The Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) just revealed that Mexico reached the 10^thposition as one of the countries with the most Blue Flag certified beaches among 47 participating countries. With a total of 94 beaches, marinas and sustainable vessels, including 22 of the beaches located in Los Cabos. The France-based International Blue Flag is a certification that a beach, marina, or sustainable boating tourism operator meets its standards. The Blue Flag is a trademark owned by FEE which is a not-for-profit non-governmental organization consisting of 65 organizations in 60 member countries. FEE’s Blue Flag criteria include standards for quality, safety, environmental education and information, the provision of services and general environmental management criteria.
