Thirty years ago, on May 1, Mexico’s first escrow and title company opened its doors in San Jose del Cabo, Baja California Sur. While most of its clients have been from Canada and the United States, it has served investors from as far away as places such as Andorra, Australia, China, Hong Kong and Rome.
Since day one, the company has been dedicated to raising the ethical and professional standards of the Mexican real estate industry. Its founder, Linda Neil, has become known internationally as a leader in real estate education. Linda has taught classes for the Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals (AMPI) and the National Association of Realtors© (NAR), including the Accredited Buyer’s Representative in Spanish. She has also presented classes for Negotiation Institutes.
Milestones for the company include obtaining the trademark for the Virtual Closing process and opening a company to help foreigners pay Mexican taxes on rental properties.
The company maintains memberships and is active in several associations including Associated Realty of the Americas (AREA), The Mexican Association of Real Estate Professionals (AMPI) and The International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI).
