If you live in Cabo, you probably have noticed a wall built in the middle of the Costa Azul arroyo. That is supposed to be a retaining wall to help developers build a condo complex right next to it. Well, the arroyo is a no-no area for construction. Building 20 yards from water bodies is OK, but it is not if it is within the 20 yards limit. That is federal land. Local concerned citizens have raised their voices against it, and city lawmakers have stated that it is illegal. It will also divert water during hurricane season, making it dangerous to nearby, legal constructions. Lawsuits are flying, and the local residents are gathering signatures against is to put pressure on local and federal authorities. Everyone is welcome to sign, even foreigners, both full or part time residents and tourist. All you have to do is show up at the beach and sign the petition to bring down the wall. No I.D. needed, nothing, just your support and signature. Hurry! Sign the petition!
