Installation of New Board Members

In the USBC and Cruz Roja

Two of Rosarito’s charitable community organizations installed new Boards of Directors in January. On January 7, the United Society of Baja California (USBC) swore in new (and not-so-new) Board members. Re-installed a President was Judy Westphal and  Treasurer, Milo Goehring. Newly elected Board members are Dee Dee Martinson as First Vice President; Ren Drake Hill, Secretary; Treasurer, Rose Dillon, and Directors Kathy Hutzler, Paul Flowers, Larry Norman, Nelson Denniston, and Dave Eliot. Board Members are elected for either two or three years based on their position.

Sergio Hernandez, President of Cruz Roja Hospital installed Raul Flowers as Cruz Roja Voluntarios Americanos de Rosarito for the next two years. Then, Newly elected Flowers installed his new board of 2017 – 2019: Mary Moreno, Vice President; Wendy Allen, Secretary and Special Events; Milo Goehring, Treasurer; Jerry Allen, Membership, and Lupita Cruz, Newsletter Editor and Hospitality. 

Certificates of Gratitude were awarded to members Maria Moreno, Jo Flowers, Jose Juan Gonzalez, and Milo Goehring for their work benefiting the Cruz Roja Hospital, By Sergio Hernandez. The new Board is already busy preparing for this year’s events, including the Annual Art and Flwoer show scheduled for May 5; Fashion Show on August 11; Halloween Bar-be-que October 27, and the Cruz Roja Damas Holiday Bazaar, December 1 & 2.
