If you hear continuous thumping and cheering coming from the general direction of San Jose this weekend, don’t be alarmed. It’s just the sounds and rhythms of the Cabo Music Fest blaring through the air. The two-day music festival will be Saturday and Sunday, March 11 and 12. The music will start in the early afternoon and end at 12:30 a.m. daily.
The lineup consists of world famous DJs and a whole lot of electronic music. Some of the artists participating are Galantis, Deorro, R3hab, ThomasJack, Claptone, Tom & Collins and Savi, who you wouldn’t know if you’re over the age of 30.We don’t listen to much electronic music ourselves, but sources tell us these are some big names in the industry, so there you go. The website bills it as “the ultimate spring break experience” which pretty much tells you all you need to know about what kind of crowd will be there.
The festival will be held in the Wirikuta Garden at Hotel El Ganzo, which is at the entrance to Puerto Los Cabos (as soon as you cross the bridge). Festival goers who stay at the hotel get a 20% discount on their tickets. For those staying elsewhere, there will be shuttles available to and from the event with pickup stops in both San Jose and Cabo.
Along with the music, the festival will also include beach volleyball, food booths, electro yoga, guided meditation and VIP lounges. Tickets also include access to the beach and other activities like kayaking, canoeing, flyboarding and more, (you will have to pay extra for some of those activities).
General admission tickets are now on sale, and are upwards of $160 USD for a two-day pass or $99 USD for one day only. We suggest buying the one day deal and seeing if your ear drus are still intact before investing in the second day, All attendees must be 18 or older.
