July 12. Wednesday. 7:30 pm. Valentina and the Shadow’s Devil. Kids Play directed by Richard Gil as part of The Alas y Raices workshop theater program.

July 14. Friday. 7:00 pm. The Pavilion Movie club presents El Paso. (2016). Documentary. The story of the families of two Mexican journalists researching migrants’ conditions at the U.S. – Mexico border, now forced to live in exile in search of political asylum. Spanish and English with Spanish subtitles. Free.

July 21. Friday. 7:00 pm. Pavilion Movie Club presents El Cielo Abierto (Open Skies). (2011). Memories from Monsignor Oscar Arnulfo, as seen through the characters who suffered with him the fear of war in El Salvador. Spanish with some help in English. Free.

July 22. Saturday. 5:00 pm and 7:30 pm. The Los Cabos Polyphonic Choir’s 6th anniversary performance, directed by Remigio Hernandez. This year’s show will include an Earth Planet Elements tribute, with Italian opera arias and New Age music. Guest artists include Fabuladanza, The State Symphonic Band and more. July 28. Friday. 7:00 pm. Pavilion Movie Club presents Cuates de Australia. (Drought) (2011). Documentary. Residents from an ejido (communal land) in northeast Mexico prepare for a mass exodus every year in search of water during the dry season. Spanish with some help in English. Free.

August 7 to 12. Various hours. Theatrical Professional Illumination Workshop by The Arts Professional Creators System from Mexico’s Fine Arts National Institute. This workshop is geared towards arts directors and theatrical experts. Spanish, free. More information: 624-191-4858.

EL TRIUNFO Museo de La Musica Concert Hall

July 14 to 16. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. 11:00 am. Piano concerts by Christian Schleifer, as part of the The Pitahaya Fair at El Triunfo. Donations from the concerts are to benefit the museum as it is a non-profit organization. $5 USD donation at the door. Spanish and English.
